These books are a great source for creative adventure ideas. They took about 1-2ish weeks to arrive and I look forward to using them in my games. A super nice surprise with the package was a signed note that was addressed to me and had a fun encounter example. That was such a nice touch, and I couldn’t be happier with my purchase.

While I was confused at how I would receive the digital version for a moment, I received the physical copies perfectly fine and enjoyed the extra encounter that was brewed up. Would be interested in products similar to these in the future

This was an awesome get, I had been watching your reels for some time and as a returning Forever DM it has helped me reconnect to the game. I could have just gotten the pdf but I like having something tangible and bonus that it also comes with the pdfs with updates. There was a handwritten note with an example hook that was a really nice touch! Love it!

These are great books of random encounters that can either be a quick interlude to the adventure, an adventure itself, or a spark to a campaign. Ryan also provides some examples to help guide you (if you haven’t seen his videos, same concept). There are also a d100 table at the beginning and end of each book, I wasn’t expecting. And speaking of unexpected, I really appreciated Ryan’s individualized thank you letter. Great work, great presentation, and looking forward to using it in my game and any future products from Ryan.
Wasn't expecting the note from Ryan but that was a really nice personal touch. The bonus stickers certainly didn't hurt either. Otherwise, just glad to support a creator, who's content I really enjoy.
This is an amazing product. I love a good mystery and making a twist around cliche ideas. These books kind of guide you into doing that and inspire you to make a developed story around a simple paragraph.
The books are easy to use and well constructed. Good quality. The size is nice as they don't take up much space behind a GM screen. I find the prompts are evocative and helps spice up situations which I feel need more going on. Great product.

Ryan has put a lot of love and experience into these handy pocket references. They are full of creativity with many ways to use the idea generators within. He even hand-wrote a scenario for me as an example! I absolutely love his YouTube shorts as well as the longer content. He has a way of helping me think outside the box that remains relevant despite the sea of DM advice and content out there. These books are absolutely worth your dollars. Show Ryan you care! Absolutely love it! I've got a session ready to run next week that I got from the book. Having a specific idea that I can expand on works very well for me, and makes the prep phase go much faster.
These books are fantastic. Compared to other DM encounter tables I've purchased over the years, 'Encounters to Inspire' has more personality, creativity and whimsy. As a DM looking for inspiration, I sometimes feel that encounter tables leave me with too many questions to ask, or decisions to make. The formatting of these two books, solves this problem. Rather than being a set of d100 tables, where the DM might roll to see if the party exploring a forest encounters "1d4 Wolves" or "An abandoned lumber camp", These two books are set up in a 'Mad Libs' style, similar to many one-page RPG's. This setup allows for important context, and usually covers multiple story beats rather than a single hook. Because of the format and the immensely creative and often humorous options on the tables themselves, it's nearly as much fun to just sit down and roll your way through the book, as it is to actually play the encounters. I've even thrown them in my pocket a few times when traveling, as a way to relax and kill time. The physical booklets are pocket sized. There is a surprising amount of content, and all of it feels carefully crafted. No complaints on the PDFs either. My order arrived with a handwritten note from Ryan in which he had rolled up a scenario, and fleshed it out. Something I really appreciated! I'll be keeping an eye on this storefront, and looking forward to more Ryan Imel DM content. I hope someday the one shot about the mysterious door will appear on here!
These are crazy fun and have already pushed me as a DM to lean more into the fun lighter side of D&D. Overall a great addition to my ever growing collection.
Great little booklet! It's great to reference and start getting adventure ideas off the ground quickly. The structured ideas are fleshed out enough that you can build directly within the confines of the prompt, but they're also inspiring enough that it's very easy to think of alternate story beats that aren't stated explicitly. The personal touch in the delivery was really appreciated as well. Great product!
